Thier colors are cool. Spend time choosing the one you like because some have very interesting changing colors with lighting and angles. This is the thing I love about these. They are passive for sure. So passive they tend to be boring except for their colors. They are not nearly as hearty as other damsels and would wait for your tank to fully cycle before throwing them in. Otherwise they are easy to take care of with the exception of being more fragile as far as damsels go. They work with all fish as long as they don't become food for a more aggressive fish.

Their cool. They are meaner than other damsels. They swim alot and work in community tanks. They do fine with damsels of the same size and larger. They really stay away from larger damsels to stay out of trouble. So if you need to add a tough fish that is smaller than others this might work. Very hardy fish that keeps moving all around the aquarium.

I only have 1 of these. Mine is 3.5 inches long. The pet shop said he was really aggressive. He is the sweetest fish! He will let me hand feed him. Gets along with every fish in the tank of all sizes. This is probably "very" rare for a damsel. I love him. Very Hardy!!! I have to say mine is a little fat from hand feeding. He pushes the little damsels around in the tank if they get too close but never bites any fish. He rarely hides and swims along the glass in the front of the tank waiting for me to feed him. I don't know if this is normal for this breed.

I just got my yellow-Tailed damsel and he seems to hid under the live rock and he usually says close to the bottom when he emerges from underneath the live rock.

I added 4 blue devils to me tank to help start cycling, and I decided to keep them as they are very fun to watch. Now they are huge, and very territorial, and aggressive towards SOME tank mates- BEWARE !

My Dominos are becoming very pugnacious to any fish in the tank of lesser size than they are. If it continues I will have to consider removing them.

THIS IS A LOVELY STARTER FISH TO KEEP. I HAVE BEEN DOING MARINE FISH FOR THE LAST 5 YEARS AND THIS FISH IS VERY POPULAR EXCEPT IT HAS A REPUTATION FOR BEING REALLY AGGRESSIVE, SO KEEP IT WITH OTHER TYPES OF DAMSELS.

In the course of three weeks, this fish double in size. He is one of my favorite Damsels but spends most of his time eating. That being said, he has outgrown the rest of his tank mates yet exhibits little to no aggression to other fish.

I added one of these guys to help start my tank and became so fond of him, that I added a female as well. They are by far the most entertaining fish I have. They zipp around the tank from one cave to another finding even the smallest crevice in my live rock to squeeze into. They are far the most enjoyable damsel you can buy.
