I have always loved horses and wanted a horse so much. Then, I figured out that there was a camp right near my house where you learn about horses, ride them, and learn to take care of a horse. My dream came true! I am so excited. And I hope the whole world knows how important horses are.

I have 4 of these wonderful fish. 2 have have stripes towards their back end. Why? Also 1 has gone missing. It sounds impossible but I can't find him in the aqurium any where. Does anyone have an idea where he is? I love all my fish very much. It wasn't a cat, none of the other fish ate him, and I didnt see his body in my net or close to the aquruim. Thanks

Almost every week at least one person writes in that they can't find a particular fish. Most of the time, the fish magically reappear. It also seems that most are found to be just find behind the filter. I have no idea why but this happens frequently. Good luck and I hope you find yours.

Killifish are notorious for jumping out. You need a lid with little to no gaps around it.

these killis can jump out flip around alot so he could have fliped along way from the tank.
to stop this you should get a lid.

We live in Eugene OR on a half acre in front of a 2 acre field. One day about three weeks ago this lovely bunny showed up in our yard.He is not wanting to be touched or petted and is very skittish.I have asked around a large neighborhood area where we live,looked on C list for lost rabbit and nothing so far. He has taken to living under our deck so we put a bowl of water out and add fresh daily. We have a sort of bird and squirrel open habitat around our place with three watering stations and four seed and feed stations. We have been giving him some fruits and fresh veggies daily on a small plate under the edge of the deck. He is out and runs all over during the day around four houses around us and in the field eating wild grasses and wild flowers? He is too smart for a live trap as we baited two different sized ones, caught four possums and relocated them, but still no bunny. He is on our back deck in the mornings a lot but as soon as we open the door, gone like a flash. Is there any more we can do for him? We do worry about him freezing during the winter here? Hi, I have just acquired two Rice Fish , I think Medaka, and think I have a male and female. I am wondering what temperature of water is best to encourage breeding. Now that we are moving into July I am hoping this is a good season for breeding them. I am quite chuffed at the prospects of increasing my collection. The main reason I took to them is because they can withstand colder temperatures even in the winter here in the UK. I have a small, lily pond inside my garden greenhouse (lower walls of wood) where it is submerged into the ground about 20 inches. I may leave some fish outside over winter as the pond is quite deep and protected. I will likely place a clear cover during the coldest months here in the UK. My pond rarely gets a thin layer of ice in winter so I think they will be fine. The other reason I like these little fish is because I have tried goldfish in this pond but they came from a very large, fast swimming group tank and so jumped out when put in a smaller environment. Of course they are so much larger than Rice Fish. I love how calm Rice Fish are. Hope you all have fun with yours.
