   The fish in this group, the Perches and Perch-like fishes belong in the order, perciformes. This is the largest order of fishes. Most of the ones included here will be in the suborder percoidei and include the Glassfishes, Flashers, Sunfishes, True Perches, Fingerfishes or Moonfishes, Archerfishes, and Scats (Argusfishes). Many of these fish are brackish, but not all. See each species for its particular water conditions.
